Welcome to Queen City Reefs, where hobbyist come first. We are hobbyist first. Feel confident that our main goal is to bring you affordable corals from one hobbyist to another. We want you to succeed. Hope you consider doing business with us.

Not sure how much you want to know about us and our journey here. I'll try to keep it short and sweet and overall, honest.

We have been in the reefing hobby for over 15 years now. It started strictly as a hobby in Texas. We moved to North Carolina in 2017. Being that we had no family or friends here, this hobby became part of our identity. We started selling frags here and there and realized how much we enjoyed interacting with people. We figured why not make it a business. But it came with a catch. That catch is to do our very best at offering corals at a more affordable price when we can. Especially when it is from our very own home grown corals. There is absolutely no reason why we can't sell our own aquacultured corals at a more affordable price when we are growing them ourselves. Not only that, we are hobbyist first. We still purchase corals from many other vendors. Some of these prices can get crazy and not everyone can afford them. So we thought, "Why not grow them out and offer them at a way cheaper price that what we paid for them?". That is what you will mainly see here. Corals that are home grown from our own personal display tanks, and offer them, at what we like to describe as "hobbyist prices". 

There is a caveat, we do try to pick up corals from wholesalers to keep a variety. Those are hard to offer at a minimal price w/ out taking losses. But it makes complete sense now, why these corals can get expensive.

We will continue to do whatever we can to keep costs down and offer corals at affordable prices.
